The D5096 provides an accurate and repeatable test of tensile and elongation, with a variable speed drive, conforming to the ASTM standard D882-73, method A. The D5096 has a rugged construction and a variable sled speed from 1 – 20 inches per minute. The D5096 features a mechanical gauge of 5000 grams full scale as standard and film clamps. Peel testing can be performed with the tensile testing clamp arrangement and one of the optional light-weight force gauges.
